Nature Academy Wild Turkey Class - December 30th 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Join us for a captivating 1.5-hour Nature Academy Wild Turkeys class designed for children ages 2-12. For just $10 per family, you can embark on a delightful daytime hike inspired by a Nature Academy lesson from Shoalseer.org. This experience includes a range of engaging activities, thought-provoking questions, and the chance to explore your own learning paths, featuring an optional Nature Academy Wild Turkey Unit Study. During the hike at Bates Farm, you and your child(ren) will discover the fascinating world of Wild Turkeys, complemented by beautiful storybooks perfect for outdoor exploration. Please note that parents or guardians must accompany children, and strollers are welcome for younger participants. Agenda: 1. Sign-In: 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM 2. Introduction to Bates Farm Nature Academy: 10:45 AM - 11:00 PM - Learn about Bates Farm Nature Academy - Discover Shoals Educational Enrichment Resources - Explore upcoming Nature Academy classes , Bates Farm Hikes 3. Wild Turkey Lesson: 11:00 AM - 11:15 AM - Earn an Wild Turkey Badge and take home pages with book and video recommendations 4. Wild Turkey Hike activity and scavenger hunt, introducing the Merlin App: 11:15 AM - 11:25 AM 5. Wild Turkey craft: 11:25 AM - 12:00 PM What to Bring: - Comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking. At the end of the hike, enjoy a cozy campfire with marshmallows for roasting, plus drinks and hot chocolate available for just $1 each. Or bring a Picnic Punch and enjoy the playground.
