Service Description

Date: Saturday February 8th Time: 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM Cost: $15 per participating child 3+ (Parents or guardians must accompany children. Strollers are welcome for younger ones.) Agenda: 1. Introduction and Sign-In: 10:30 - 10:45 AM 2. Nature Reflection Activity: Collect leaves, acorns, pine cones, beauty berries, etc. for leaf rubbing. 10:45 - 11:15 AM 3. Animal Track Observations: Explore mole tracks and possibly deer tracks. 11:15 - 11:30 AM 4. Interactive Plant Lesson: Discuss plants we find with a map. 11:30 - 11:50 AM 5. Bird Observation Lesson: Learn about local birds using the Merlin app, interactive maps, and interesting facts. 11:50 AM - 12:10 PM 6. Archery Demonstration: 12:10 - 12:30 PM 7. Farm Tour: Group tours in the hummer. 12:30 - 1:00 PM 8. Scavenger Hunt: Engage in a custom, reusable nature scavenger hunt game. 1:00 - 1:30 PM 9. Make a Nature Treasure Box/ Valentines Box out of a cigar box with your own colored laminated labels Additional Options: You can add a large Nature Observation Kit for $25, a small Nature Observation Kit for $5, or a Makerspace Nature Craft $5 - choose from various crafts like decorating a flower pot, rock painting, making a magic wand, leaf rubbing, etc...
