Strollers are welcome for younger ones.) **Class Description: Mokume Gane Jewelry Workshop** Join us for an exciting workshop where we start with a demonstration of the traditional Mokume Gane Japanese metalworking technique, renowned for its stunning layered patterns that resemble wood grain. After exploring the history and craftsmanship behind this ancient art form, we’ll transition into its contemporary adaptation using polymer clay. In this hands-on class, participants will learn to blend and layer colorful polymer clay to create unique designs. You'll have the opportunity to craft several beautiful pieces of jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, keychains, and hairpins. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced crafter, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to unleash their creativity and make one-of-a-kind accessories. Join us for a fun and inspiring experience! Agenda: 1. Introduction and Sign-In 2. Overview & Demonstration of traditional Mokume Gane metal working 3. Overview of working with polymer clay 4. Pick your colors, get your clay workable 5. Create the Mokume Gane patterns 6. Decide on your jewelry pieces from the hundreds of options for size, shapes, flowers, birds, leaves, mushrooms, layered pieces, 7. Create your jewelry pieces 8. Bake the clay 9. drill the pieces and attach to earring backs, necklace rings, phone pulls, key chains etc.. 10. Clear coat piece
