This experience is packed with engaging activities, thought-provoking questions, and the chance to dive into your own learning paths, featuring an optional Song Sparrow Nature Academy lesson. **What to Expect:** - **Discover the world of Song Sparrows** with beautiful storybooks perfect for outdoor exploration. - **Parents and guardians must accompany children**—strollers are welcome for younger participants. **Agenda:** 1. **Sign-In:** 1:30 PM – 1:45 PM 2. **Introduction to Bates Farm Nature Academy:** 1:45 PM - 2:00 PM - Learn about our exciting programs and resources! 3. **Song Sparrow Lesson:** 2:00 PM - 2:15 PM - Earn your Song Sparrow Badge and take home book and video recommendations. 4. **Bird Watching Reflection Activity:** 2:15 PM - 2:25 PM - Introducing the Merlin App and a fun scavenger hunt! 5. **Make Song Sparrow Eggs:** 2:25 PM - 3:00 PM **What to Bring:** - Comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking. At the end of the hike, enjoy a cozy campfire with marshmallows for roasting, plus drinks and hot chocolate for just $1 each.
